Turning an Old Bathroom into a Luxury Space

Our client came to us looking for a transformation of her bathroom in her new home.

Recommended by a friend who had previously worked with us, she trusted us to deliver a reliable, high-quality service for her first major home renovation.

The Client

Our client is a first-time homeowner looking to create a comfortable, modern space. She wanted to replace her outdated bathroom with something that matched her taste and was more functional for her needs.

The Goal

The aim was to strip out the old bathroom and install a completely new one with a luxury, high-end feel. We focused on modernising the space, enhancing its usability, and ensuring every detail met her vision for her new home.

How We Did It

Step 1 — Planning and Design

We worked with our client to plan the style and layout of her new bathroom. This included a tour of the showroom at EPS, where she selected her favourite parts. We also created drawings to ensure the space was used efficiently and incorporated all her chosen features.

Step 2 — First Fix Installation

We stripped out the old bathroom, including the bath, toilet, sink, flooring, and tiles. The old cast iron soil stack was removed, and new pipework was installed for the toilet, basin, towel radiator, and built-in shower valve. We set down the new walk-in shower tray and prepped the walls for tiling.

Step 3 — Second Fix and Finishing Touches

After tiling was complete, we installed the flooring, shower fixtures, shower screen, toilet, basin, taps, towel radiator, extractor fan, and ceiling lights. We also installed a new soil stack for waste pipes and added finishing touches to create a luxurious atmosphere.

Preparation
We began by speaking with our client to understand her vision for the bathroom transformation and the features she wanted.

We also made a plan for the timeline and cost estimate, working closely with our trusted local suppliers to provide a competitive quote.
Installation
  • Removal and Preparation: We began by removing the old bathroom fixtures, including the bath, toilet, sink, flooring, and tiles. We removed the old cast iron soil stack and prepped the walls for tiling. The new walk-in shower tray was also installed at this stage.
  • Fixture Installation: After the tiling was completed, we installed all fixtures, including the shower valve, shower screen, toilet, basin, taps, towel radiator, extractor fan, and ceiling lights. We also installed a new soil stack to accommodate the waste pipes, ensuring all elements were correctly positioned.
Finishing Touches
Once all the fixtures were installed, we conducted thorough testing and commissioning to ensure everything was functioning perfectly.

This involved checking the water flow rate, drainage, and overall operation of all installed fixtures.

Finally, we handed over the completed bathroom to our client, ensuring she was completely satisfied.

We provided a detailed walkthrough of how to operate each fixture, ensuring she was comfortable with every aspect of the installation.

The Results

The end result was a luxurious, high-end bathroom that our client absolutely loves.
